Book Surveys =YAY.

A-Z Bookish Survey
Author you’ve read the most books from:
According to Goodreads, it’s a three-way tie between Hisaya Nakajo (Hana-Kimi), Yoshiki Nakamura (Skip Beat!) and Valerie Tripp (the American Girl series - yes I’m read so many of them).
Best Sequel Ever:
Even though it’s published as one book now instead of two, probably Court Duel by Sherwood Smith because seriously one of my top favorite books.
Currently Reading:
Heir of Fire by Sarah Maas, The Bully Pulpit by Doris Kearns Goodwin, rereading The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay by Michael Chabon
Drink of Choice While Reading:

E-reader or Physical Book?

Physical books!!!

Fictional Character You Probably Would Have Actually Dated In High School:

Going off what books I was obsessed with in high school: George Cooper and Neal of Queenscove from Tamora Pierce’s books.

Glad You Gave This Book A Chance:

Life After Life by Kate Atkinson

Hidden Gem Book:

Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder (and basically everything else she’s touched)

Important Moment in your Reading Life:

Reading Harry Potter and Ella Enchanted in grade school, defining reading experiences for me and still two of my all-time favorites.

Just Finished:

Whale Talk by Chris Crutcher

Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:

Longest Book You’ve Read:

Goodreads says A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin.

Major book hangover because of:

The Bully Pulpit is getting really long right now, probably a 1/3 of the way through it.

Number of Bookcases You Own:

2 at my house, 3 at my parents (though they are multiple shelving units more than bookcases)

One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:

Just one book?? Ella Enchanted, Sorcery & Cecilia, Crown Duel

Preferred Place To Read:

Anywhere and everywhere.

Quote that inspires you/gives you all the feels from a book you’ve read:

"I’ve lived through such terrible times and there are people who live through much worse. But you see them living anyway. When they’re more spirit than body, more sores than skin, when they’re burned and in agony, when flies lay eggs in the corners of the eyes of their children - they live. Death usually has to take life away. I don’t know if that’s just the animal. I don’t know if it’s not braver to die, but I recognize the habit; the addiction to being alive. So we live past hope. If I can find hope anywhere, that’s it, that’s the best I can do. It’s so much not enough. It’s so inadequate. But still bless me anyway. I want more life.” -Angels in America, Tony Kushner

Reading Regret:

Falling down the Twilight hole for a little too long.

Series You Started And Need To Finish(all books are out in series):

Sherlock Holmes stories/novels

Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:

Ella Enchanted, Poison Study, Crown Duel

Unapologetic Fangirl For:

Harry Potter!

Very Excited For This Release More Than All The Others:

Winter by Marissa Meyer, Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray

Worst Bookish Habit:

Starting things and then not finishing them

X Marks The Spot: (Start On Your Bookshelf And Count to the 27th Book): At work, and the only book I have with me is The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay.
Your latest book purchase:

Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins

ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that kept you up WAY late): Isla and the Happily Ever After
